Rybolovlev developed Uralkali till it became a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange.
Rybolovlev sold his company and left Russia. The police accused Rybolovlev of murder but he was acquitted by three courts. In 2010, Rybolovlev relocated to Monaco and bought significant shares in AS Monaco. Prince Albert II lauded this sale and made him the president of Monaco FC.

Personal Life
Rybolovlev married Elena Rybolovleva in 1987 while they were both attending medical school at Perm Medical Institute, Russia. They have two daughters: Ekaterina, born in 1989, and Anna, born in 2001. In 2015, Ekaterina married Juan Sartori, an Uruguayan businessman who owns a 20% stake in the Sunderland AFC football club.
